The Virginia High School Sports League (VHSL) and many other sports leagues require students, who wish to participate in competitive sports, to receive a sports physical and have a form filled out by their medical provider prior to participating in try-outs. These sports physicals can be done during your child's yearly check-up appointment. If you're child is interested in participating in a sport requiring a sports physical, please check with the sports league to find out the earliest date the check-up can be preformed to be valid and schedule your child's yearly check-up appointment accordingly.
Please bring any necessary sports physical forms with any parent or student portions filled out to your child's appointment.

Chantilly Pediatrics pays special attention to teen needs to help make the transition to adulthood a healthy process. Our providers work hard to develop a trusting relationship with our adolescent patients, so that they are comfortable discussing even the toughest issues, such as weight and body image, puberty, behavior, safety (including substance abuse and sexuality), family, social and school issues.
Some of the services available to our adolescent patients include: acne evaluation and treatment; evaluation, treatment or referral for eating disorders; diagnosis and treatment for painful or irregular periods; birth control, emergency contraception and pregnancy testing; diagnosis, treatment and counseling for sexually transmitted diseases; ADHD evaluation and treatment; evaluation, treatment and referral for anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns; and drug and alcohol testing and referral.
We firmly believe in the immunization policies and recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center for Disease Control, and believe it is in the very best interest of all children to receive these immunizations on the recommended schedule. In order to have enough time allocated during well care visits, we request that parents schedule a separate "Immunization Consultation Visit" if they wish to discuss concerns regarding vaccinating their child according to the recommended schedule.
Vaccine (Immunization) Schedule
Our immunization schedule follows the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In general, the following represents our current schedule of immunizations. Please keep in mind that we use combination vaccines as often as we can so the total number of injections is fewer than what appears in link below:
