Dr. Vaidehi Shah is a Board Certified Pediatrician. Dr.Shah has always envisioned herself as a Pediatrician and enjoys working with children.
Dr.Shah has wide range of experience in treating common Pediatric conditions which includes but not limited to common newborn problems, Asthma, Allergies, ADHD, Other behavioral issues, Skin problems, Common injuries, Sports injuries and much more.
Dr. Shah speaks English, Gujarati, Hindi and basic Spanish.
She enjoys spending time with her family, likes to travel and enjoys listening music.
Born and raised in India, Dr.Shah received her medical degree from Pramukhswami Medical College in Gujarat, India. She completed her Residency training from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso and is now settled in Virginia with her family.
Dr. Shah strongly believes that educating parent plays an important in child’s health. She spends adequate time listening to parents and addressing their concerns. A visit to Pediatrician is not just for vaccines but to assess overall child’s development. This scheduled visits helps to address concerns, if any, in timely manner and improve their overall health. She also enjoys participating in community activities that will help educate parents and children and was also awarded for Best Community Service during her residency.Dr. Shah strongly believes in patient- and family-centered care and practices evidence based medicine.
Dr Kanika Govil is a Board Certified Family Doctor and general practitioner, with a private Family Medicine Practice located in Chantilly VA. She has experience of more then 10 years in Family Medicine. Dr Govil has wide range of experience treating patients from a common cold to more complex problems such as Heart Disease and Diabetes.
She was born in Maharashtra, India and graduated with State Merit/Honor Roll in her High School. She graduated from Med School with a MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree. She currently lives in Ashburn with her husband, a daughter and a son. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
Dr Govil completed her residency from Virginia Commonwealth University (Fairfax Family Practice). She completed her undergraduate Medical school degree from Government Medical College in Miraj India. One of the prestigious University hospitals in the state she hailed from.
She believes that each patient is a complex individual with his/her own unique bio-psychosocial components. What this really means is that she cares about how you feel, how you want to be treated, how you live, and how life has affected you. She don't just treat your disease; she treats the complete you.
Her goal is a happy healthy you!! Also to provide the best care possible to all her patients. She treats her patients as though they are her family members. She will do everything she can to help patients navigate through the complexity of today's health care system. She always try to explain medical problems in terms that patients can understand. As a true family physician, she has diverse interests. So, she can explain things in ways that make good sense to you.
